Google Insights yeilds 404 – shouldn’t this do a redirect instead?

I mean, I just used Google insights *yesterday* the post just before this one.

Then, thinking myself a clever power user of this here ‘internet’…I type in the address bar: http://www.google.com/insights and get Google’s not so awesome 404 page, which (to me) should do a redirect to here: http://www.google.com/insights/search after all, they have nothing else hosted on the /insights page. Is their webmaster alseep at the wheel like the Yahoo Pulse guy…?

Even more borked links…maybe they need to crawl their site and use Webmaster Tools

While trying to use the insights product, I saw an interesting link to New York Times. So, I clicked, which then gave me a 404. It seems that the link was pointed to the mobile, not the regular, version of the NYTimes. Oops.
